A study of almost 100 volunteers involved drawing peripheral blood before and after a chiropractic adjustment. They found that within 15 minutes of a chiropractic adjustment, immune system function is significantly boosted! By checking their blood, they saw significant increase in inflammatory and immune system responses.
So should I come to the chiropractor when I’m sick?
That’s a question we get a lot in our office, and the answer is easy – ABSOLUTELY! Many of our practice members report getting sick much less often since being under chiropractic care. Even when they do get sick, they report that they beat their sickness much faster while being under chiropractic care. Even during flu season, chiropractic can help strengthen the immune system.
Another research study tells the incredible story of a young boy who was sick with a fever for five days before seeing his chiropractor. His temperature reached 103 degrees Fahrenheit, despite the fact that his mom had administered acetaminophen regularly. After his chiropractor adjusted his spine and took the pressure off his nervous system, the boy’s temperature dropped to 98.4 degrees in only one hour! The boy felt better and was more active right away.
